The Bindi Sergardi family can be traced back to 1349. Gentlemen, courageous nobles, great winemakers, captains, archbishops, etc., these are the ancestors of the family. The Binti Segadi family has never stopped loving Siena and the land under their feet.
At the end of the 14th century, the family left the federal assets in Rapolano and moved to Siena. In 1430, Giovanni was chosen as the new governor, inheriting the title of nobility in Siena. In the middle of the 16th century, a member of the family, Captain Gerolamo Bindi, married with Calidonia Sergardi, and the name Bindi Sergardi was ready to come out.
In Siena, the family has three vineyards, namely Mocenni Manor, Icolli Manor and Marcianella Manor. Mocenni Manor is a 230-hectare manor, located in the northwest corner of the small town of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Its altitude is 450 meters above sea level. The soil is rich in marl and limestone, suitable for cultivating grape vines. Moquine is the most natural and important farm, and both the classic Chianti and the extra virgin olive oil are produced in here. It is the residence of the family today, including part of the farm and part of the office. Covering an area of 20 hectares of vineyards at an altitude of 350 meters, the rocky soil can maximize the fruity and freshness of the Sangioves, it can bred, and produce more delicious Chianti Corrisonis wines. Maquinara is located in Chiusi in the southern part of the Siena Province and is mainly grown with Sangiovese. The soil mostly contains sand, gravel and clay. It is located 250 meters above sea level, which brings the necessary warm airflow for the growth of grapes, and at the same time stimulates the most suitable freshness and fruity taste of Sangiovese.
