The success of our winery and the quality of our wines is based on a strong synergy within a well-established and coordinated team. Fausto, Elena and Federica Zeni are grown up in a world of wine and are the pulsating heart of the winery. They understood to catch their father’s philosophy and managed to successfully carry it over to recent days, winning not only a multitude of awards, but also the confidence of respected restaurants and clients all over the world.
The complementary specifications of each of them help to build a strong managing board for the winery within the family that leads a qualified team: Fausto as oenologist and agronomist is helped by his sisters Elena and Federica, who are specialized in export and sales, as well as enotourism and group hospitality. They are guided with wisdom and experience by mamma Mariarosa, a true pillar of the family.
Fossil records tell us that vines were growing in the region of Verona already 50 million years ago. But it was the Romans that started cultivating vines in our region.Important manuscripts like the encyclopedia Naturalis Historia by Pliny the Elder written in 78 AD describe the cultivation and vinification of grapes in our region, also for medical use.An area which has significantly revealed its vocation in the development of the vitis vinifera.
In this land, aptly appropriate for growing vines, we cultivate autochthonous grapes. Our vineyards are located in the 5 veronese DOC areas that range from the south-eastern shores of Lake Garda up to the hills east of Verona: Bardolino, Custoza, Lugana, Valpolicella and Soave. Our main winery is located on the panoramic street in the first hills above Bardolino, with a new winery dedicated to the production of Valpolicella wines located in Fumane in the Valpolicella area.
