Monte del Fra Winery was established in 1958 and is located on Lake Garda, only 15 kilometers away from the city. The purpose of our winery is the perfect combination of land and grapes. It is now managed and operated by our entire family. More than half a century ago, with his persistent pursuit and love for wine, our grandfather left his hometown and set foot on the famous sub-region Custoza of the Veneto region, where he rented it on a small hill in a district of Custoza, where he leased a small vineyard on the hills and started his career. However, the entrepreneurial spirit lies in continuous development, so in 21st century, our winery began to produce the classic Valpolicella Classico: in 2006 we bought 17.8 hectares of land located in the Valpolicella Classico region, which now becomes the famous Tenuta Lena di Mezzo, our winery has produced many well-known wines at home and abroad, such as: Amarone dellla Valpolicella Classico, Recioto , Ripasso and many classic Veneto red and white wines: they are delicate and elegant, supple, full-bodied, complex and atmospheric.
Our winery has grown to today and has more than 140 hectares of grapes. Not only that, because our winery is close to Lake Garda, it enjoys a unique soil microclimate, which is very suitable for the growth of all kinds of grapes. Therefore, it has produced many mellow and delicious wines.
